Hanwell Carnival: 17/06/2017

This year’s Hanwell Carnival was a spectacular event with the theme being ‘Hanwell on Film’. This event was attended by local residents of Hanwell and further afield. The HBL &  EASE team had great pleasure in participating in the carnival procession alongside residents and other local organisations. A wonderfully sunny day, with loads of events, entertainment, food stalls, and craft tents there was something for everyone.

EASE and HBL had an opportunity to speak to residents of the Hanwell area and were able to promote the EASE services and HBL opportunities to residents of the Hanwell Big Local Area.

EID Event: 01/07/2017

This event was organised by the residents of Copley Close with the intention of bringing the community together to celebrate the end of Ramadan and EID. EASE and HBL supported the event and awarded the organisers a HBL Small Grant of £500. This was a great opportunity for the community to come together to enjoy food and each other’s company whilst raising community spirits.

The EASE and HBL team were proud to be able to attend along with local councillors who showed their admiration at the success of the event.

NHTA & HAT Summer Event: 01/07/2017

Hanwell Big Local in partnership with North Hanwell Trader Association (NHTA) and Hanwell Traders Association (HAT) held a Hawaii themed customer appreciation day in July. There was something for everyone to enjoy from sandpits and padding pools for the children, to musical entertainment from steel-pan band & BBQ food for people to enjoy.

EASE and HBL had a stall and had great success in talking with the residents of the HBL area. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with residents to find out what there aspirations for the area are and how they feel HBL can facilitate positive changes and improvements to the area and lives of local residents.

Gurnell Fun Day

Gurnell Fun Day was held on Saturday 22nd July 2017. Hanwell Big Local supported Gurnell Grove Resident Association in holding their summer community fun day. This event was the opportunity for the residents to have an enjoyable and fun day with their neighbours and friends.

It was a great community event despite the unfortunate weather but local residents especially children enjoyed the day filled with fun and exciting activities including DJ, face painting and football. HBL & EASE held a football tournament and medals were given out to the participating children & young people.

HBL & EASE had a stall, which provided a platform for staff and partnership members to talk to the residents about the changes to their area and how HBL services could benefit them. This was a valuable opportunity to converse with residents of Gurnell Grove and get their feedback through the HBL community surveys. EASE and HBL handed out fun filled goody bags to residents to thank them for their co-operation.

 Copley Close Fun Day: 05/08/2017

Hanwell Big Local supported Copley Close Steering Group in holding their summer community fun day. HBL awarded them a Small Grant of £500 to hold this event to give the residents an opportunity to unite, for all people young and old to have an enjoyable day with their neighbours and friends.

It was a wonderful community event, filled with fun and exciting activities including cup cake decorating, DJ, face painting and delicious Caribbean food.

HBL & EASE had a stall, which provided a platform for staff and partnership members to talk to the residents about the changes to their area and how HBL services could benefit them. This was a valuable opportunity to converse with residents of Copley Close and get their feedback through the HBL community surveys. EASE and HBL handed out fun filled goody bags to residents to thank them for their co-operation.

Hanwell Community Centre Fun Day

Hanwell Community Centre Fun Day was held on Saturday 12th August 2017. It was a great community event attended by local residents of Hanwell and further afield. The event was packed with lots of local organisation stalls including HBL & EASE, Pulse Basketball, entertainment & dance, book stall and delicious Caribbean food.

EASE and HBL had an opportunity to speak to residents of the Hanwell area and were able to promote EASE services and HBL opportunities to residents of the Hanwell Big Local Area. The stall provided a platform for staff and partnership members to talk to the residents about the changes to their area and how HBL services could benefit them.
